Antique ormolu and enamel large size horse shoe clock in its original case. Original ormolu in mint condition with seven "nails" for luck in turquoise enamel. Fine white enamel convex dial with blued steel Breguet style moon hands. Back door hinged to reveal a fine silvered plated 8 day movement with original cylinder escapement. The clock stands by means of its ormolu strut hinged to the back of the case. The bottom of the strut engraved Miller Lowndes St. Outstanding quality in every respect. English circa 1860. Original Moroccan leather velvet lined case with double ended key for winding and adjusting. 4.5 inches high by 4 inches wide by 1.5 inches deep ( 11.25 cm by 10 cm by 3.75 cm ), the case 6 inches by 5 inches by 2 inches ( 15 cm by 12.5 cm by 5 cm).
