Pretty and rare 18th century ten sided tortoise shell and ivory tea caddy with silver pique work and mother of pearl decoration to the top and front panel. The top and bottom edges are banded with ivory, the four small lozenge feet and the interior facing and inner lid handle are also ivory. Both the green velvet covering of the inside lid and the paper on the base are all original.

This fine single tea caddy is small measuring 4.5 inches high by 2.75 inches deep and x 3.5 inches wide ( 11 cm by 7 cm by 9 cm).
