Antique miniature English Regency fusee carriage clock in tortoiseshell veneered case. This tiny and exquisite little carriage clock is in fine original condition. The case is beautifully made in typically early 19th century Regency style with fine tortoiseshell veneers. It is extremely rare to find English fusee movements of this very small size in mantel clocks. The 8 day key wound movement is quite superb with original fusee chain and very fine lever escapement. The movement is numbered 796 on the frontplate. The very pretty gilt bronze dial is deeply engraved with flowers and foliage. It has blued steel hands. English circa 1825-30. 4.75 inches high by 3.5 inches wide by 3 inches deep ( 11.875 cm by 8.75 cm by 7.5 cm).
