Automaton walking peacock by Roullet et Descamps with musical movement. He walks, moves his head from side to side then stands still then lifts and slowly spreads his feathers. He then begins walking again and the cycle continues. The whole time he is doing this the musical movement plays. He comes in a fitted wooden crate stamped Roullet Descamps. Paris France Circa 1880-90. The case for the peacock is 71 cm wide by 34.5 cm by 34.5 cm. The peacock is 25 cm high by 48 cm long, it is 50 cm high when it lifts its tail feathers.
