Antique English George IV Boulle desk set or ecrier. Fine heavy top quality English boullework with heavy ormolu mounts. This is more than twice the weight of an equivalent French Boulle ecrier. Massive ormolu winged paw feet and a huge central carrying handle. Female masks to each side of the ecrier. Boulle is in perfect condition. The tortoiseshell and brass inlay is laid on an oak carcase. A pair of good crystal inkwells with ormolu lids with a pin tray. Full width drawer with working lock and original key. English circa 1830. 12 inches wide by 10 inches deep by 9.5 inches high ( 30 cm by 25 cm bt 23.75 cm).
