Antique French Louis XVI ormolu statue of a woman on Blue Tarquin ormolu mounted marble base. Superbly cast mercury or fire gilt ormolu figure of a classically draped woman with left arm outstretched. Superb modelling and finishing to the woman, hand chisseling to give depth. Ormolu is as yet uncleaned but in excellent condition. Very fine ormolu mounted Blue Tarquin marble base. French circa 1785. 15.5 inches high by 5.25 inches square at the base ( 38.75 cm by 13.125 cm).
