Antique Grand Tour bronze of Wolf with Romulus and Remus. A very fine quality bronze with lovely rich patination and the modelling with good defenition. The two brothers below the wolf are also well modelled. There is pleasing bleeding of the patination where one would expect, on the wolf's flanks, through handling, giving a really excellent colour. Set on a piece of beautifully mottled grey marble. Italian early to mid 19th century. 4.5 inches wide by 3.5 inches high by 3 inches deep ( 11.25 cm by 8.75 cm by 7.5 cm)
