Antique French porcelain and ormolu clock set by Raingo Freres a Paris.
The rectangular case with decorative pillars to the front corners, a stepped
base and curved pediment surmounted by a painted porcelain urn, with nine
turquoise porcelain panels to the case decorated with raised gilt-work, with a further panel within the arch depicting a
lady in a field and another below depicting a shepherd and shepherdess at rest, the
panels to the sides decorated with musical themes.
Together with a pair of tazzas having matching porcelain panels.
The eight-day duration movement striking the hours and half-hours on a bell with
an outside countwheel, the white enamel dial signed Raingo Freres a Paris, with
gilt Roman numerals, brass moon hands and a turquoise surround.
The ormolu on both clock and tazzas is spectacular and 100% original.
France circa 1880-90.
