French silver and guilloche enamel timepiece with hand painted picture. Of unusual construction with oval case decorated to the rim with a one inch border in deep blue guilloche enamel. The face with triangular or fan shaped chapters below the 12 o'clock position. Super quality hands. Below the dial is a scene of two lovers all handpainted in watercolour, in excellent condition barring a small age crack towards the bottom. Silver hallmarks for 950 standard silver ( French). Stamped for the top London and Paris retailer Mappin and Webb. 8 day movement with integral key. 5 inches high ( 12.5 cm). Circa 1910.
