Superb antique patinated bronze model of a pointer by Jules Moingiez. Outstanding cast and in pristine condition this shows a pointer at work in a most skillful way. The pointer alert, head up and with left forleg raised, listening and about to move. Very well finished cast, the dog with a collar round his neck and well signed to the oval naturalistic base. Circa 1880. 8 inches wide by 5.5 inches high by 3 inches deep ( 20 cm by 13.75 cm by 7.5 cm).
