Massive antique French Empire style figural candelabra base converted to oil lamp and then electric lamp. The candelabra base of palace proportions is of the very best quality. Superb casting of the mounts and of the female figure holding up the cornucopia which originally held the candelabra tops. Original gilding and patination. Cut glass oil resevoir. France circa 1860. 43 inches high with the base 7 inches square ( 107.5 cm by 17.5 cm).
