Antique and highly unusual gilt bronze seal and letter opener in the form of a medieval knight holding up a banner. The knight in full armour standing upon a scrolling base with one foot on a shield and with plumed helmet behind. He is holding the banner on his lance and points to the words engraved on it "Tout ese Perdu fors l'honneur" loosely translates as " All is lost without honnour" among fleur de lys. French circa 1880. 10 inches long
