Antique English Regency figural candlesticks in white marble, ormolu and patinated bronze. Of classical form the square white bases rise to cylindrical stems with a very fine ormolu moulding to the bottom. The female figures in classical robes stand on a knurled ormolu cap and hold on their heads an ormolu stem rising to a white marble urn with fine ormolu leaf mount below and beautiful ormolu candle holders above. The candle holder has a very fine rim of fine matting around the edge and two lion's masks to the side. The ormolu and patinated bronze is entirely original and in very good condition. Each marble urn has a crack but is stable and it is really just a function of their great age. Superb and beautiful examples. English circa 1800-10. 11.5 inches high by 3.5 inches square at the base ( 28.75 cm by 8.75 cm).
