Antique English George IV boulle tortoiseshell and inlaid brass ( boulle) inkstand or ecrier. Of outstanding quality, much more substantial than the French versions. Extremely elaborate cut brass inlay into the premier partie scarlet tortoiseshell. Oak carcase with rosewood embellishments. Even the pin tray, between the original cut crystal ink and sander, is decorated in boulle as is the tray in which the ink and sander stand. English circa 1830.
