Antique pair of French figural candlesticks in patinated bronze and ormolu. A fine true pair of candlesticks in excellent condition. The two opposing cupid figures are seen kneeling on the ormolu bases holding up a single gilt bronze candle holder, the cup decorated with roses around the sides and a stiff leaf pattern to the top edge. The gilt bronze base is very elaborate with bracket feet and several decorative mouldings. Original gilding. French circa 1860. 7.5 inches high by 3 inch diameter base ( 18.75 cm by 7.5 cm).
