Antique, cased solid silver engine turned sub-miniature carriage clock. A very, very smart little clock, in the style that Cartier favoured. Engine turning seperated by vertical polished lines on all five sides and top finished with a bow handle. Fine and jewelled 8 day three quarter plate movement with vertical lever escapement. A pretty and perfect white enamel dial with gilt decoration and gilt hour and minute spots with the hour chapters in black Arabic numerals. Marked on the case Swiss JTC company, silver 925 mark, London import mark for 1920 serial number 6850. London retailers mark GS for George Stockwell. In original silk lined travelling case. 2.75 inches high ( handle up) by 1.375 inches wide by 1.1 inch deep ( 6.875 cm by 3.44 cm by 2.75 cm).
