Sub miniature, cased, solid 14 carat gold jade mounted carriage clock by Geneva Clock Company. A really beautiful little clock, small and smart with beautiful colour contrast of gold, green and silver. The solid gold case which is engine turned with a diamond pattern is in perfect condition and in the manner of Cartier. The dial is circular and surrounded by a gold bezel, the dial is silvered with applied golden Roman hour numerals and gold hands. The back of the case is enclosed and has covered dust shutters for hand adjust, winding and regulation. The gold case sits upon a carved and shaped base and is mounted with a carved jade button to the top of the case. The back of the case is marked " Geneva Clock Co. 12224 Swiss 14K. The 8 day movement is also signed Geneva Clock Co. 15 jewels and 3 Adjustments and has a vertical lever escapement. The original travelling case in brown leather with gilt embossing, with satin interior, has a gilt clip and a hidden key compartment. Swiss circa 1910. 2 inches high by 1.5 inches wide by 1.125 inches deep ( 5 cm by 3.75 cm by 2.8 cm).
