The casting is of exceptional quality, and the ormolu is in virtually mint condition.
The figure of the woman is very well cast and finished in matt and burnished ormolu.
To her right is a magnificent classical urn in ormolu with applied ormolu mounts of female classical muses.
To the base is a fine cast bronze plaque in high relief showing what appears to be Aurora flying with the urn over a rainbow.
To each side of this are a bust of a man and a woman within a wreath of laurel leaves.
A lovely convex white enamel dial with lovely original Breguet style moon hands signed L. Ravrio, Bronzier a Paris and Mesnil H.
8 day bell striking movement by use of countwheel and the time regulated by a silk suspended pendulum.
