Antique French patinated bronze and Sienna marble mantel clock of massive proportions. The subject being of a naked maiden lying down on a lion's pelt and leaning against the clock.. The subject is certainly a bacchanailian maiden, possibly Erigone and is taken directly from a model produced by Clodion in the 18th century. In excellent condition. The dial of marble and the movement of 8 day duration striking the hours and halves on a bell. France circa 1890. 19 inches high by 26 inches wide by 12 inches deep ( 47.5 cm by 65 cm by 30 cm).
