Antique French Napoleon III porcelain, ormolu and silvered bronze clock set on their original giltwood and velvet stands.
The wonderful gilt and silvered ormolu is original and the blue celeste and jewelled porcelain panels are all in perfect condition
Set on a breakfront ormolu base with stiff leaf moulding above and with silver highlights to leaves at all corners.
Inset is a fine porcelain panel of trailing roses surrounded by a gilt border.
The full square porcelain dial with bouquets of flowers in the spandrel corners and further trailing flowers to the centre.
The time is told with gilt bronze hands of spade form.
Further porcelain panels are inset to each side of the clock and also to the side of the clock at the base.
Falling from the shoulder of the clock, held at the top on the left by trophies of war and on the right by trophies of love and music, are waterfalls of flowers and ribbons falling to the base in both gilt and silver ormolu.
To the top of the clock is a fine ormolu mounted porcelain urn trailing flowers within a gilt border. The urn topped by a berry finial.
The movement is of 8 day duration, bell striking the hours and halves.
The sidepieces are triple candleholders and are of fine ormolu. Set on conforming breakfront bases on bracket feet. The base rises to a blue celeste jewelled porcelain urn to the centre while the candleholders rise above it.
The clock stands on six ormolu feet upon its original stand.

The clock stands 16.5 inches high by 15 inches wide by 6.5 inches deep on its stand. ( 41.5 cm by 37.5 cm by 16.5 cm)
The sidepieces are 14 inches high by 8 inches wide by 5 inches deep on their giltwood bases. (35 cm by 20 cms by 12.5 cm)
