French 19th century Hunting clock.
Dating from circa 1860-80 and having original mercury gilding throughout with highlights applied in silver to leaves and berries.
To the top of the clock are hunting trophies and to each side of the clock is a fine mount of a stag.
Below the dial is a superb porcelain plaque of a boar hunt showing the pack after the boar and two mounted huntsmen in period clothes in the background.
Large 15 cm white enamel dial.
8 day movement striking the hours and halves on a bell.
All standing on original giltwood and velvet stand.
45 cm high by 51 cm wide by 17.5 cm deep, on its plinth it is larger still.
