Antique shagreen cased travelling knife, fork and spoon in ivory, silver and steel. Dating from the early to mid 19th century this is a lovely set in excellent condition and has the unusual extra of a steel corkscrew attached to the knife. The fork and spoon retract into the ivory and brass handles. All fit neatly into the lined shagreen case. There is a date and initials to one end of the case "JPR 1864", which is almost certainly added somewhat later than when it was made. In very good condition, some slight damage to the underneath ( base) of the shagreen case.4.5 inches wide ( closed) by 2.25 inches deep by 1.75 inches high ( 13.25 cm by 4.5 cm 3.5 cm ).
