Antique French blue celeste porcelain and ormolu mantel clock. Very good condition with original ormolu and no damage to the porcelain panels, some of which have neo-classical influence. Two birds heads are each side of the ormolu mounted blue celeste urn to the top of the clock. The clock has an arched pediment with scrolls to the sides. Toupee feet and fine scrolls to the base moulding. Below the dial is an arcadian scene painted in the sevres manner. The base porcelain panel and the finely decorated dial are in the neo-classical style. Japy freres movement with backplate also stamped Platanuer Freres, Paris. It is an 8 day keywound movement with brocot steel suspension for the pendulum and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. French circa 1870. 14 inches high by 11 inches wide by 4.25 inches deep ( 35 cm by 27.5 cm by 10.675 cm)
