A massive antique bronze centrepiece of Classical Greek soldiers. Nearly three foot high this monumental centrepiece ( now lamped) has great presence and does make a fabulous lamp. Set upon a carved ebonized base the three bronze figures with spears, shields and helmets stand surrounding a central stem. This rises to a bowl decorated with military trophies of armour, shields and weapons. A fabulous lamp. French circa 1890.
