Antique French Ist Empire cylindrical clock in patinated bronze and ormolu surmounted by a patinated bronze putti playing a drum with a puppet doll at his feet.
Fine original ormolu mounts throughout. Winged female masks to the sides above swan mounts.
Surrounding the top of the cylinder is a line of ormolu diamonds with flowers within.
Surrounding the dial bezel is an applied ormolu mount of myrtle with a gforget-me-not flower to the centre.
White convex enamel dial with black roman numerals and signed Galle Rue Viviene.
Fine gilt bronze hands.
The bezel surrounding the dial is superb with ribbing to the outside edge and moving inwards a concentric circle of Amthemion and then a circle of fine beading.
8 day silk suspension movement, striking the hours and halves by means of a countwheel.
