Antique French automaton Windmill clock from the Industrial seried and probably by Guilmet. Constructed of gilt, silvered and coppered bronze on a black marble base. The case in outstanding condition, bright and clean. Just below the windmill blades are a circular barometer and below this an 8 day clock. To the left and right of these are two fine alcohol thermometers, one in farenheight and one centigrade, both beautifully engraved. At the base of the windmill is a coppered bronze door which opens to reveal the winding square for the automaton movement. The whole is set upon a circular black marble base. The weather sation and clock work perfectly and when the automaton movement is wound the sails rotate. France probably by Guilmet and dating from circa 1890. 20 inches high by 10 inches wide and 6.5 inches in diameter at the base ( 50 cm high by 25 cms wide and 16.5 cm in diameter at the base).
