A most attractive and stylish pair antique silvered bronze candelabra/cassolettes in the manner of Mathew Boulton. Very much like the George III Mathew Boulton "Goats Head Vases". A beautiful design with square bases and bracket feet. A stiff leaf moulding around the edge of the base, then a swept base with stiff leaf decorated cap and the candelabra bowl with stiff leaf cup goatshead mounts to the side holding the candelabra arms with acanthus swags between. The candelabra with acanthus arms , stiff leaf drip pan and a candle holder with Adams style beaded swags. The central flame finial to the candelabra turns over to reveal a further candle holder making it possible for the candelabra to hold three candles. A very, very elegent pair of candelabra/cassolettes in great condition with no losses or repairs. English circa 1840. 9.75 inches high by 8.75 inches wide by 3.5 inches square at the base (24.375 cm by 21.875 cm by 8.75 cm).
