Antique pair French Charles X ormolu and patinated bronze candlesticks. In very fine condition with original patination to the bronze, original fire gilded ormolu and the original soft steel rods with hand cut threads. On circular bases decorated with flower, wreaths and stiff leaf moulding. The central stem with fine horizontal inter-twined leaf decoration to base of bowl with flower decooration to stem. The main stem in patinated bronze tapered and with reeding. This rises to a fine ormolu candle holder in the form of a capital with superb leaf decoration and further reeding, all in ormolu. The original drip pans in place. France circa 1820. 10 inches high by 4 inch diameter ( 25 cm by 10 cm).
