Antique industrial Series weather station Davy's Miner's Lamp clock compendium. This fine and substantial Industrial series clock/weather station compendium by Guilmet of Paris is based on the Davy Lamp used in mines. In really outstanding condition this very substantial brass compendium in the form of the Davy Lamp has a carrying ring to the top under which enclosed in glass and with a further glass bezel is a working compass. The lamp has three faces, one for the eight day clock, another for the barometer and the third for temperature. Each dial is of silvered bronze and is beautifully set out inblack against the silver base. The clock is of eight day duration and has blued steel hands and a fast and slow regulator lever at the top of the dial. The aneroid barometer has its text in French and has a blued steel hand with a further gilt bronze setting hand. The lovely temperature dial with curved thermometer is set in centigrade. Made by Guilmet in Paris circa 1885. Height 10.75 inches by 4.25 inches wide ( 26.875 cm by 10.625 cm).
