Fine mid 19th century bronze of Joan d' Arc with horse and armour. Modelled as after a battle against the English still in full armour made in great detail, with swords and shield beneath the horse, helm on the ground beside her gauntlets. The horse with tasselled strapping. The modelling and casting so good that not only can you clearly see the horse shoes but also the nails in the horse shoes. A very fine sculpture of excellent detail and fine patination set on a shaped marble base. Circa 1850 French. 15 inches high by 14.6 inches by 6.9 inches (37.7.5 cm by 36.5 cm by 17.2 cm).
