A Fine quality French Napoleon III ormolu carriage clock, with all five panels mounted in green fleurospar. The Flurospar panels overlaid with original gilt bronze neo classical figures and acanthus. The circular dial of convex white enamel bordered by a fine bezel. The dial with Roman hour numerals and Arabic minutes at the quarters. The hands in fine gilt bronze. The movement of eight day duration with fine platform escapement, strikes the hours and halves on a gong. Signed on the front plate Ed Chartier, Paris. It is also signed underneath the base and numbered 13183, and again is stamped E C, Paris on the backplate of the movement and numbered again, 13183. An extremely pretty piece, French circa 1881-5
