An extraordinarily fine silver gilt, guilloche enamel and onyx sub miniature carriage clock, with moorish and art nouveau style. Of tiny size, the superb case decorated on four sides with panels of lilac guilloche enamel and others of a pomegranite colour. The panels seperated by straps of engraved silver gilt and mounted with white jewelling. White enamel dial with gilt decorated, arabic numerals and gold hands. The fine, 8 day lever movement and with dust shutters to rear door. The inside of the case is stamped JTC within a cartouche, for the Geneva Clock Company, and numbered 5345. The movement itself is numbered 12577. The back of the case has the silver content mark 925, the London date mark for 1913, CG, likely the retailer, and the London sterling silver import mark. A wonderful clock, of smallest possible size. Swiss, circa 1913 4.5cm high
