Pretty and rare 19th century tortoise shell and ivory tea caddy. Standing upon four ivory bun feet, the interior edging is also lined with ivory. It has the original top to the tea compartment and the meeting edges of the lid are lined with ivory. The blue velvet lining on the inside lid is original, if a further lid on the inside, also made from tortoiseshell with an ivory handle. Circa 1800 11cm High by 10.5cm wide
