A Stunning silver and blue guilloche enamel minute repeating miniature carriage clock. Set upon a black agate base the rectangular silver case has beautiful blue blue guilloche enamel on four sides including the top surrounded by a line of white enamel, and the engine turned patterning is quite spectacular. The oval dial with silver bezel and white and blue enamel hands, and a wonderful hand painted scene as the background. Case stamped for the retailer Tiffany & Co. Below that, is an inscription which adds a wonderful bit of provenance. "To Daisy Rogers with grateful and affectionate appreciation of her unselfish service to the lighthouse 1906-1927". The inside of the case is silver gilt, and stamped on the case as well as the movement is the mark of E. Mathey-Tissot Switzerland, for the maker. The case is also stamped argent, sterling, silver content 0.935 and numbered 11948, and the rampant bear swiss silvermark used between 1882 and 1934. . The 8 day lever movement has eleven jewels and three adjustments, numbered 7264 and is a minute repeater. The button to the top is pressed, the hour is sounded with one hammer, then the quarters with two hammers and the second hammer gives the minutes past the last quarter. A beautiful clock in superb condition. 3.25 inches high by 2 inches wide by 1.75 inches deep ( 8 cms by 5 cms by 4.25 cms).
