A beautiful silver and imperial yellow guilloche enamel with black border quarter repeating miniature carriage clock. Set upon a Tigers eye base. A most unusual marble base making use of "Tiger's Eye" a quartz chatoyant gemstone. The very pretty imperial yellow with fine engine turning design set on four sides. The oval dial with silver bezel and white and black enamel hands, and a wonderful hand painted scene as the background. The interior of the case is silver gilt and is stamped with the number 11698, sterling, argent, and silver content 0.985, as well as D. Fresard, Lucerne for the maker, and 'swiss'. The very fine 8 day lever escapement movement has 11 jewells and 3 adjustments, is number 7555, and marked again for the maker, 'D'Fresard, Lucerne. The button to the top is pressed, the hour is sounded with one hammer, then the quarters with two hammers. A beautiful clock in superb condition. 3.25 inches high by 2 inches wide by 1.75 inches deep ( 8 cms by 5 cms by 4.25 cms).
