Antique Palais Royal mother of pearl and ormolu ring stand. Set upon four paw feet, is a very fine ormolu navette shaped base surrounding the mother of pearl base, giving the impression of water. Sitting upon this is the fine little gondola or boat with a lions head figurehead, with a ribbon shade rubbing above the boat, upon which rings could hang. The finely cast model of cupid sits in the boat, torch in hand. Original ormolu and perfect mother of pearl. France circa 1830 14.5cm Long
