A French Louis Philippe period patinated bronze, marble and fire/mercury gilt ormolu mantel clock. Of very fine quality, the clock sits upon four ormolu bracket feet, with a fine red marble base, with an ormolu mount of a bow and wreaths. The marble is in excellent condition and of a lovely colour. A finely modelled cupid, in patinated bronze sits beside the clock case, and a quiver of arrows resting atop the clock case. The fine ormolu dial, with arabic numerals set in white enamel cartouches, and breguet style half moon hands. The silk suspension, 8 day movement strikes the halfs and hours on a bell by means of the countwheel system.
