A very fine tortoiseshell and silver pique mantel clock by Henry Matthews. A lovely case set on four silver feet with pique wreath work around the bottom of the case which has plain silver sides. The front however is of blond tortoiseshell with pique work below the dial, and dome topped. To the upper centre is a white enmel dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands. The fine, 8 day duration swiss movement, in perfect working order, with integral winding key and platform escapement.
