A very rare French empire ormolu and patinated bronze mantel clock of Amorettis holding up a basket of flowers. Superb original condition ormolu. The silk flowers on metal frame. It is extremely rare to see the silk flowers surviving on this rare clock, indeed in Tardys reference book French clocks, this model is depicted missing its flowers. Although faded with age, the detail in the silk flowers is superb. Superb bezel, surrounds the very fine white enamel convex dial, with roman numerals and breguet half moon style hands.
