Very smart and chic silver and guilloche enamel carriage or boudoir clock by W. Thornhill and Co. of London. Geometric fleur de lys and gold leaf borders, with further blue guilloche enamel, with starburst engine turning and fleur de lys panels to the side. The 8 day movement with platform lever escapement, the glass to the top and front is beveled, a sign of quality. Gorgeous wavy engine turning beneath the enamel on the dial, with roman numerals and gilt triangles marking the minutes. This is an extremely pretty little clock, in superb condition. 7cm high (not including handle) within a blue velvet case, the underside of the lid inscribed 'W Thornhill & Co, 144 New Bond Street, London' Circa 1900
