Sub miniature silver gilt and purple guilloche enamel carriage clock, in its original leather, silk lined carrying case. The oval shaped dial, with arabic numerals, and 8 Jours written below number 12 for 8 days. Overlaying the superb guilloche enamel are wonderful painted additions of flowers and urns. This technique is called en-face with en-grisaille painting. On the underside is stamped Argent Dore, silver content 0.935, numbered 2307888. On the back of the inside of the door, this information is further repeated, with makers name Eterna, for the fine swiss clockmaking firm, a further mark of H and F in a cartouche, and a further swiss silver mark. The fine, 8 day, 3 quarter plate movement, with lever escapement and with integral winding key. Swiss circa 1910. 5.2cm High
