A silver gilt miniature guilloche carriage clock with repeater, alarm and Petite Sonniere by Louis Leroy & Cie, Paris. This incredibly rare little clock comes with all the highly technical complications it is possible to get. The technical skill required to fit all these complications into such a small clock movement is not to be underestmimated. Indeed in clocks of full mantel size, it is very very rare to come across a clock with the Petite Sonniere function, let alone the alarm function too. This clock, numbered 19931, by the firm Louis Leroy & Cie of Paris, made in silver gilt on an agate base, with very fine guilloche enamel. The repeater button on top, sounds the quarters and hours when pushed. The clock automatically sounds the the hours and each quarter being a Petite sonniere, and comes with a strike/silent button, for when muting the clock is desired. Despite all these complications, the maker added another, an alarm function, a further small enamel dial on the back of the movement for setting an alarm. Signed on the dial 'L. Leroy & Cie, Horlogers De La Marine', and just above 6 o clock, the address '7.B De La Madeleine, Paris' On the back door, this is repeated "ANC Horlogers Du Roi No. 19931 L Leroy & Cie 7 Bould. De la Madeleine Paris. An incredibly rare clock, in absolutely superb condition. 10cm High
