A very rare French patinated bronze and original ormolu Charles X automaton clock. The automatons working from a separate movement in the base working five water features. The two train 8 day movement striking the hours on the halfs and hours on the bell on a silk suspension. Roman numerals. A soldier sits beside the 'lake' with his rifle in gilt bronze, looking at his dog in patinated bronze. Cut glass drawer to base. French circa 1830 49cm high
