Guilloche enamel and silver gilt sub miniature carriage or boudoir clock on variegated marble base.
The clock is in perfect and mint condition with no damage at all to the beautiful enamel, the dial or the silver.
The guilloche enamel is on all five sides including the back of the clock and the guilloche enamel is mainly in two shades of light blue with herringbone engine turning giving a striped effect. To the top and bottom of all the vertical sides of the clock is a further narrow dark blue guilloche enamel strip with very attractive foliage decoration.
Surrounding all the elements of guilloche enamel there are strips of silver gilt.
Between the clock and the marble base there is a silver gilt "rail".
The unusual pale lilac variegated marble base has bracket feet.
The white enamel dial is marked "8 day Swiss", has blued steel "moon hands" and has a solid silver bezel with glass insert.
The back of the clock has dust shutters to cover the winding holes for hand adjustment and winding and another for regulating the timekeeping. A little lever at about 4 o'clock opens and shuts the shutters.
The clock case is stamped ARGENT and has the silver purity mark 935 stamped into it with the Austrian export mark, and the French silver import mark..
Made in Austria around 1905.
