A stunning silver and pink guilloche enamel with white enamel border on a black agate base minute repeating miniature carriage clock. Extremely pretty pink on all four sides with fine engine turned patterns. The oval dial with silver gilt bezel and diamond set hands and a superb hand painted lake side scene as the background, and arabic numerals. When the gem set button atop the clock is pressed the hour is sounded with one hammer, then the quarters with two hammers, before the second hammer gives the minutes past the quarter. The inside of the back door with various marks, including Sterling, numbered 11792, Argent, 0.935 for silver content, JTC within a cartouche for the Geneva Clock Co., the rampant bear mark for Swiss silver and D. Fresard Swiss, for the retailers. The superb 8 day movement with minute repeater function and platform lever escapement is numbered 1887, Brevet 30225 and stamped Nocturne for the famous company of Geneva, Switzerland.
