Very smart and chic gilt bronze and blue guilloche enamel carriage or boudoir clock by W. Thornhill and Co. of London, in its original red leather case. Geometric fleur de lys, silvered and gold leaf with further blue guilloche enamel, with starburst engine turning and fleur de lys panels to the side. The 8 day movement with platform lever escapement, stamped 113, the glass to the top, front and sides is beveled, a sign of quality. Gorgeous wavy engine turning beneath the enamel, with roman numerals and gilt triangles marking the minutes. 7cm high (not including handle) within a red leather case, the underside of the lid inscribed 'W Thornhill & Co, 144 New Bond Street, London' Circa 1900
