Swiss silver and imperial yellow and black guilloche enamel umbrella clock in leather case. It is unusual to find an umbrella clock with undamaged enamel. Superb quality enamel beautifully decorated in imperial yellow and black enamel over concentric wavy lined circles. The chapters are marked with beautiful quality gilt arabic numerals covered by enamel. Gilt bronze hands. The reverse side is just as good with enamel in excellent order with the concentric circles over the movement housing and basket weave to the edge. The handle is original and is used to wind the clock. The fine 8 day movement with Geneva spring, which releases tension and stops you over winding the clock, a common way to damage clocks. Four separate silver marks stamped into the clock. "Swiss made, Depose, numbered 1152 twice, 935 three times, star mark for Swiss silver and one small solitary star of David stamp. Fine four piece case lined with satin and velvet. Swiss circa 1925-30. 3.5 inch diameter ( 8.75 cm).
